Update: Friday 21st September 2018Navenby.Net opened in 2007 as a window for activities in the village and a record of events and the history of Navenby. Over the years many local groups have established their own individual websites and Facebook pages such that the need for a village website has diminished. Navenby Parish Council now has a website at Parish Council which provides information on most services, records of council activities and events at the Venue Community Centre. Navenby.Net will continue to post links to independent websites and updates as they are received but will likely be closed down in 2019. If any local group would like to post any of the content of Navenby.Net the information can be made available. There will be a number of events along the Cliff Villages in October to celebrate three centenaries - the end of WWI, RAF 100 and Women's Vote culminating on 21st October with an exhibition at the Venue. See Centenary Poster for details. The Navenby Health Walk is a friendly group which meets every Friday morning at The Venue, Grantham Road, Navenby for a 10.00am start for a choice of two led walks. The scheme is open to anyone – it is not necessary to be a Navenby/Wellingore resident and the ‘Social’ part of the name is felt to be important too, giving walkers the chance to meet and chat with other people – it is not a race or endurance test! See the Navenby Health Walk Page for details. Volunteers from Wellingore, Navenby, the RAF and Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage are making good progress on the planned memorial to the pilot and poet John Gillespie Magee Jr. to be placed in the Millfield Park.
